Here’s to the best of irish dancing. The friendships, the laughter and the memories we will cherish for a lifetime. The friends we meet through dance are the people we will never forget. The girl who you talk to in math class, 5 years from now you probably won’t even remember her name. But the girls you trained with for hours, traveled hundreds of miles with, complained endlessly about soreness with, celebrated, commiserated, and goofed off with will be part of your life forever. The memories you have together you will cherish for the rest of your life. So for these last 46 days before nationals, lets all vow to dance for the thrill, for the opportunities it has given us, and the friendships we have developed because of this wonderful sport. Don’t dance because you have to, dance because you love everything dance has let you do, achieve, and become. Dance for you.
This almost made me cry. Man I love dancing.
